Huawei Sanctions Timeline: Every Major US Action From 2019 to 2026
Huawei is the company the US has spent the most effort trying to contain. In 2019 it was the world’s largest telecom equipment maker and was about to pass Samsung as the biggest smartphone vendor. Seven years of US measures later it is still huge, still profitable and now building its own chips, operating system and AI accelerators. Both halves of that sentence are true, and the timeline below shows how.

Post-Quantum Cryptography Explained: NIST's ML-KEM and ML-DSA Standards and Migration Deadlines
Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) is the set of public-key algorithms built to survive an attack by a large quantum computer. It runs on ordinary computers and ordinary chips. Nothing about it is quantum except the threat it is designed against. The reason anyone outside a cryptography department should care is simple: almost every secure connection you make today, from a bank login to a software update, depends on RSA or elliptic-curve cryptography (ECC), and both fall apart once a big enough quantum machine exists.

WiFi Standards Timeline: 802.11b to 802.11bn With Dates, Speeds and Bands
Every WiFi device you own speaks some version of IEEE 802.11, the wireless LAN standard first published in 1997 and amended dozens of times since. The IEEE writes the engineering; the Wi-Fi Alliance, an industry group formed in 1999, certifies products and owns the brand names on the box. That split is why one technology has two sets of names (802.11ax and “Wi-Fi 6” are the same thing) and why the dates you find online rarely agree: certification often starts years before the IEEE formally approves a standard.

China's Critical Mineral Export Controls: Gallium, Germanium, Antimony, Graphite and Rare Earths Timeline
Since 2023 China has built a licensing system around the minerals and metals it dominates. The controls started with gallium and germanium and now cover rare earths, graphite, battery materials and the technology used to process them. This page lists each measure by date, notes what is suspended and what still applies, and gives a status table at the end.

Undersea Cable Damage Log: Baltic Sea, Taiwan, Red Sea and Australia Incidents Since 2023
Subsea cables carry almost all international internet traffic, and they break often. The industry records roughly 150 to 200 faults a year, most caused by fishing gear and ship anchors in shallow water. Since 2023 a cluster of breaks near geopolitical flashpoints has drawn much closer attention. This log records the significant incidents in date order, with the suspected vessel, what investigators found and where each case stands.

The Complete Timeline of US-China Technology Decoupling: 2015–2026
The technology relationship between the United States and China did not break in a single moment. It eroded through a decade of escalating restrictions, retaliatory measures, investment screenings, and legislative maneuvers — each move accelerating the next. What began as targeted actions against individual companies has become a structural reorganization of the global technology supply chain. This timeline documents that process from its earliest institutional signals through the present.
2015 January — The Obama administration’s Department of Commerce adds CETC (China Electronics Technology Group Corporation), a state-owned defense electronics conglomerate, to the Entity List, citing its role in supplying military electronics.
